Disclosures

The short version
This is a summary. If the summary and the full text below differ, the full text controls.
- We are a publisher, not an investment adviser. Nothing we publish is investment advice.
- Some public companies pay us, in cash or in shares, to publish content about them. Our paid articles and landing pages say who paid us.
- Our principals can hold, buy, or sell the securities we write about, at any time.
- Some text in Pro is written with the help of AI tools and can be wrong.
- Market data comes from third parties. It can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.
- Investing has risk. Do your own research before you invest.
In this page, "we", "us", and "The New Money" mean Quantum Ventures Inc., a British Columbia company doing business as The New Money. This page applies to our website, newsletter, mobile app, and The New Money Pro ("Pro"). It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. We are a publisher, not an adviser
- We publish general information about markets, companies, and investments. It is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
- We, our principals, and our staff are not registered or licensed as an investment adviser, broker, or dealer with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), FINRA, any US state, or any Canadian securities regulator.
- Our content is general and is not tailored to you. It does not take into account your goals, your finances, or your tolerance for risk. We do not act as your adviser, and we owe you no fiduciary duty.
- Nothing we publish is a recommendation, an offer, or a request to buy, sell, or hold a security or other investment. Labels, screens, themes, lists of companies, and options trades describe data. They do not tell you what to do. A large options trade shows what one trader did. It does not show why, and it can be one part of a larger position or a hedge.
- Investing has risk. You can lose some or all of the money you invest. Past performance does not tell you what will happen. No statement we make means that a trade is likely to make a profit.
- You are responsible for your own investment decisions. Do your own research. Get information directly from the companies, and talk to a licensed investment professional before you invest.
2. Sponsored and partner content
2.1 How we are paid
- Some public companies ("partners") pay us to publish articles, landing pages, newsletter content, and other material about them ("sponsored content").
- Partners can pay us in cash, in shares or other securities, or both. A partner can also pay us through a third party, such as an investor relations firm.
- Payment affects our ability to be unbiased. Read sponsored content with that in mind.
2.2 How we label it
- We label sponsored content as sponsored or paid. Each paid article and landing page on our website and in the App carries its own disclosure that names the company that paid us.
- Sponsored content can appear on our website, in our newsletter, in the App, in push notifications, and in Pro.
- If a piece's disclosure and this page differ, the disclosure on the piece is the more specific statement for that piece.
- Our editorial coverage is separate from sponsored content. Read our Editorial Standards for how we keep it separate.
2.3 Our holdings
- Our principals and staff can hold positions in securities that we write about or that Pro shows. This includes securities of partners, and shares that partners pay us.
- They can buy or sell those securities at any time without notice. This can create a conflict of interest.
- Articles about partners, and about companies whose shares our principals may hold, carry a disclaimer that says so.
3. AI-written content in Pro
- Some text in Pro, such as Insights, Today's Take, and the short reasons shown beside a price move, is written with the help of AI tools. The tools work from news, filings, and market data.
- Our editors review some of this text before it shows. Other text shows without review.
- This text can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. It can leave out important facts. Check the source before you act on it.
4. Market data
- We get prices, charts, news, filings, and other data from third-party providers and from public sources. We do not create most of this data, and we do not check every item.
- Data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and providers can correct it later. Exchange data is delayed unless we mark it as real-time. Times shown in Pro tell you how old some data is, but not all data has a time.
- Holdings data comes from filings with the SEC. A fund files Form 13F up to 45 days after a quarter ends, so its holdings can have changed since it filed. An insider files Form 4 after the trade.
- News releases and articles come from the companies and publishers shown on each item. We do not check them.
- We do not guarantee that any data is accurate, complete, or current.
5. Required third-party notices
- This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Read the FRED® API Terms of Use.
- Index names and other trademarks belong to their owners.
